PositionAre you looking for an opportunity to support a leading community and private bank serving Bay Area businesses, nonprofits, and individuals? Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closer to become a critical part of our team.
Job Responsibilities- Works with Loan Officers/Relationship Managers, Loan Processors, Underwriters, Credit Admin, Loan Servicing, title companies, outside legal counsel, and other vendors to ensure all loans are documented and funded accurately and within expected time frames.
- Reviews all entity documents for our commercial clients - LLCs, Corps, Partnerships, Trusts, to ensure we have the proper signers on all loan documents.
- Reviews preliminary title reports, UCC documents to ensure our lien position will be secured; prepares escrow instructions and works with title or outside council to ensure a smooth and timely closing.
- Prepares loan documents for all loans, ensuring that all documents are in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Verifies that all pre-funding conditions are met and approved as outlined in the underwriter/credit admin approval documentation.
- Reviews signed document packages and approves funding for all loans.
- Verifies that insurance requirements are met prior to funding. This includes hazard insurance, flood insurance, commercial general liability insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, etc., as required per credit approval documents.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a small to mid-size lending institution, preparing commercial loan documentation and facilitating the loan closing.
- Knowledge of using Laser Pro for commercial loans and Mortgage Bot for residential loans (both Finastra products) is a huge plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, One Drive/SharePoint.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
- Capable of being assigned specific projects and monitoring projects for completion within expected time frames.
- High degree of flexibility to react to an environment of growth and change.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance (or other related field) or five or more years of lending experience in loan documentation and funding.
