AP Specialist or Lead

Our client, a rapidly growing AI-driven technology company, is seeking an AP Specialist or Lead to manage accounts payable operations and vendor relationships.

San Francisco, CA. This role is on-site, Monday through Friday.

This role will serve as the Brex super user within the accounting team, ensuring accurate invoice processing and payment workflows. The position offers exposure to system integrations and process automation in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Manage AP inbox, process invoices, and ensure timely vendor payments through Brex.
• Oversee vendor setup, maintenance, and cleanup for accurate records.
• Prepare and file 1099s using Brex and Quick Books; ensure proper vendor classification.
• Assist with month-end close tasks, including reconciliations and accruals.
• Support Brex–Quick Books integration and upcoming system implementations.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to maintain spend controls and compliance.

• Proven experience as a Brex super user in AP and vendor management.
• Strong proficiency in Quick Books and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented and proactive.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Professionalism and adaptability to evolving systems and processes.
