I help private equity firms hire the best talent for their portfolio companies

Help transform a longstanding B2B services company into a modern, data‑driven platform that is PE backed. You'll join the Executive Leadership Team and build a financial foundation that's disciplined, accurate, and ready to scale. This is your chance to be a strategic partner to the CEO while getting your hands dirty building the systems and processes we need to grow.

What You'll Do

• Own the monthly close, general ledger, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Deliver clean, timely P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
• Ensure GAAP compliance and bank reporting requirements
• Oversee AR, AP, and transactional accounting
• Manage annual audit and be the main contact for auditors and tax advisors

Planning & Analysis

• Be a thought partner to the CEO and Operations leaders on growth, margins, and resource allocation
• Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long‑term financial modeling
• Build KPIs and dashboards that drive accountability
• Provide financial analysis to support pricing and decision‑making
• Lead the Accounting and HR teams with clear expectations
• Partner with Operations to turn financial data into actionable insights
• Model our values and build a culture of accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement

Systems & Process

• Improve financial systems and workflows for scale and accuracy
• Lead ERP, HRIS, payroll, and reporting tool implementations
• Manage treasury, cash planning, and banking relationships
• Oversee IT policies and standards (mobile devices, access, security)
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, lender covenants, and union obligations

HR Oversight

• Ensure compliance with employment laws and union requirements
• Oversee onboarding, benefits, records, and policy compliance
• Manage workers' comp, timekeeping, and return‑to‑work processes
• Lead HR investigations and corrective actions
• Scale HR systems with company growth

Board & Executive Partnership

• Present financials, risks, and opportunities to the Board
• Partner with the CEO on financial strategy and capital allocation
• Communicate clearly with owners, lenders, and external partners

What You Need

Education:

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus

Experience:

• 8+ years in accounting and finance
• Hands‑on with budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis that support operations
• Public accounting experience a plus
• In‑house corporate role and PE experience helpful
• Experience with leveraged capital structures, bank debt, covenant monitoring, and lender communications

Skills:

• Strong GAAP expertise with ownership of monthly close and financial reporting
• Comfortable with ERP systems, financial tools, and Excel/Sheets
• Can build models, dashboards, and KPIs
• Experience working with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and insurance partners
• Proven track record improving processes and systems in growing organizations
• Strong communicator who can translate financial data into clear insights
• Entrepreneurial mindset with middle‑market interest
• Roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mentality and hands‑on approach
