Financial Analyst (Finance Associate)
Our client, a global aviation finance and asset management company, is seeking a Finance Associate to support ongoing growth and expansion.
LocationThis position is hybrid, based in San Francisco, with in‑office expectations set by leadership.
Job DescriptionThis newly created role sits within a highly analytical team that partners closely with deal and contract stakeholders to translate complex agreements into accurate financial models. The ideal candidate thrives on quantitative problem?solving, detailed financial analysis, and intellectually rigorous work.
Responsibilities- Perform day?to?day financial analyses related to structured and corporate finance activities supporting a global portfolio of commercial aircraft.
- Take ownership of one or more financing structures, including securitizations, credit agreements, term loans, partnership vehicles, or revolving lines of credit.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly lender and investor reports including waterfall calculations, debt schedules, fee calculations, derivatives analysis, and portfolio performance metrics.
- Execute calculations related to purchase price adjustments, rental structures, borrowing requests, releases, present value modeling, cash reconciliation, loan payoffs, and market data pulls.
- Maintain, refine, and improve complex financial models and large datasets used for reporting and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, or a similar analytical environment.
- Strong ability to interpret complex contract documentation and apply it accurately within financial models.
- Advanced analytical and problem?solving skills with exceptional attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- High proficiency in Excel and comfort learning new analytical systems and tools.
