Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver captive insurance feasibility studies and utilization projects.

• Develop captive insurance tax consulting memos and tax opinions.

• Manage client relationships, staffing and economics of engagements.

• Analyze engagement results to continually improve client service.

Skills And Attributes For Success

To qualify for the role you must have:

• Bachelor's Degree

• CPA or licensed Attorney

• Experience or knowledge of captive insurance companies

• 5‑10 years of accounting or taxation experience for insurance companies

Ideally, you will also have:

• Understanding of GAAP / statutory accounting principles

• Basic understanding of ASCSSAP 101

• Experience preparing tax returns

• Experience in state and local taxation (e.g., state return compliance, state income tax accounting, state apportionment fundamentals)

• Self‑motivation

• Critical thinking

• Eagerness to build a professional network

• Leadership ability and a drive to uncover new business opportunities for clients
