Job Description & How to Apply Below

Samba connects the advertising industry. Today, a trillion dollars of media flows through platforms that don’t talk to each other, and each one measures its own results. We built the independent alternative: consented first-party data and AI that give the world’s biggest advertisers, publishers, and platforms one clear view across all of it.

The next era of advertising will run on AI agents, and those agents will need data they can trust. We’re building that foundation, and the agents that act on it. Join us and help build what the industry runs on.

About the Role

You maintain and evolve Samba's integrated financial models, drive budgeting and forecasting, and serve as the dedicated finance partner for functional leaders across the company, including revenue and product teams. You help build a scalable financial architecture as planning moves from spreadsheets to dedicated financial planning and analysis (FP&A) systems.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain Financial Models: Maintain and evolve the company's integrated financial models, including P&L, balance sheet schedules, working capital, and long-term cash flow, and build new models from scratch as business needs evolve.
  • Drive Budgeting and Forecasting: Drive annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycles, synthesizing cross-functional inputs into projections that inform executive and Board-level decisions.
  • Lead Variance Analysis: Lead monthly variance analysis, identify root causes of budget deviations, and translate findings into clear narratives for leadership.
  • Standardize Metrics: Standardize the tracking and reporting of critical business metrics, including annual recurring revenue (ARR), net revenue retention (NRR), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and unit economics.
  • Scale Finance Processes: Contribute to a scalable financial architecture, including the move from spreadsheets to dedicated FP&A systems, document standard operating procedures, and partner with Finance on month-end close, validating accruals.
  • Partner With Leaders: Serve as the dedicated finance partner for functional leaders, including revenue and product teams, building bottoms-up budgets, managing headcount planning, and evaluating return on investment (ROI) on strategic initiatives.
  • Support Capital Decisions: Provide quantitative analysis and strategic support for capital allocation decisions, special projects, and ad hoc operational initiatives.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or transaction services.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to build integrated, multi-schedule models from scratch, including cash flow timing, capitalization logic, and scenario analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting, and of how operational decisions flow through the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Analytical rigor and strategic thinking: an uncompromising commitment to accuracy and logical model construction, and the ability to connect detailed financial data to broader business objectives.
  • Clear communication, distilling complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders, adaptability under tight deadlines, and a demonstrated aptitude for learning and implementing financial software.
  • Preferred: ERP and planning system experience, SaaS, adtech, or media background, high-growth or pre-IPO experience building financial processes, data visualization tools and SQL, and partnering with operational leaders on budgets.
