Finance Manager | Venture Capital Firm | San Francisco;

Join a growing Bay Area venture capital firm investing in early-stage frontier and climate technologies, with approximately $800M in AUM and the backing of a globally recognized organization. This is an opportunity to combine the resources and stability of an institutional platform with the broad exposure and ownership of a lean investment team.

Working closely with the CFO and Controller, you'll gain hands-on exposure across the full fund lifecycle, including capital activity, financial reporting, waterfalls, carry, valuations, tax, and investor reporting. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end capital calls and distributions Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly closes

Maintain portfolio investment activity, valuations, and statements of investments

Build and review American and European waterfall models Calculate carried interest, hurdle rates, and capital statements Maintain fund accounting systems and ensure data accuracy

Coordinate with external tax providers and review fund tax returns

Prepare LP and parent company reporting Respond to investor inquiries related to capital activity, statements, and K-1sSupport portfolio investment and fund-of-fund activity
