Nail Technician

We are a brand new, non-toxic nail salon located in the heart of San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood in search of full-time, licensed Nail Technicians who have experience in non-toxic nail services and gel nail application. Nail Technician responsibilities include polishing fingernails and toenails, painting designs and applying/removing gel nails. If you’re up-to-date with nail art techniques, interested in working with non-toxic products and know how to provide excellent customer service, we’d like to meet you.

We are looking for experienced technicians who are reliable and can time manage while delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities

• Paint fingernails and toenails
• Clean, cut and shape nails
• Recommend colors, and designs based on each customer’s style
• Remove previously applied polish or gels
• Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
• Sterilize equipment using an Autoclave before use
• Inform clients about the benefits of non-toxic products
• Inform clients about additional services and offers (e.g. loyalty discounts, waxing, skin services)
• Give hand and foot massages
• Up-sell treatments and beauty products, when appropriate
• Take an interest in customers and build loyal clientele (e.g. chatting with them during appointments and remembering their preferences)

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Nail Technician or Manicurist
• Expertise in basic and advanced nail techniques, including French manicures, gel manicures, and non-toxic product lines
• Knowledge of cosmetology trends
• Understanding of California State Board of Cosmetology sanitation and sterilization standards
• Experience in customer service
• Certification in Cosmetology or Nail Art is a plus
