ASSISTANT COLORIST, LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST, COLOR BAR, SAN FRANCISCO (PART TIME UP TO 14-16 HOURS) – at Madison Reed

Madison Reed is excited to be looking for a talented, Licensed Cosmetologist, whose passion for color is matched by their love of making customers look and feel beautiful. This dynamic role is based in our San Francisco Color Bar and on a part-time basis. Availability must be Tuesday-Sunday, both AM and PM shifts (shifts vary 4-8 hours).

Are you a recent Cosmetology graduate? Do you love Hair Color and want to expand your Color knowledge?

• Greet, assist, accommodate and escort all clients and visitors with a courteous, joyful nature. Booking and Guest check-in with our booking software
• Provide the highest level of customer service, including responding to email and phone inquiries for this location
• Perform color consultations for walk-ins
• Assist Colorists on the floor with shampoos and blow outs
• Update client records on in-house technology platform
• Handle transactions on POS. Communicate and engage clients in post-service options with Madison Reed, including product sales, booking future appointments and online subscriptions
• Help keep salon tidy and front desk organized and presentable
• Assist with general office duties and helping out on special projects when needed
• Attend brand training and receive one-on-one coaching to help progress to a Colorist

• Client service experience in a salon environment is highly preferred
• Experience and passion for hair color
• Retail sales experience a plus; handling transactions on POS
• Ability to efficiently perform fabulous blowouts within 30 minutes or less
• Track record in providing over-the-top, amazing customer service
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Able to handle several situations at once with poise and confidence
• Extremely organized and have strong attention to detail
• Technologically savvy (able to learn proprietary client records system)
• Knowledge of all State Board Regulations
• This role reports to the Salon Manager

Guaranteed hourly wage + TIPS + retail commissions. (Cosmetology degree required)
