Job Summary:
Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist (Medical Instrument Technician) – Shift / Tour of Duty
- Rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Days: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Split: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Evenings: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Nights: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Compensation:
Starting at $50.00/hr plus $5.09 for Health and Wellness
The Sonographer performs highly complex diagnostic ultrasound examinations under the direction of a Radiologist. Exams are frequently performed on patients with serious illness or physical limitations requiring adaptive.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and portable ultrasound studies
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Explain procedures and verify patient preparation
- Optimize image quality, labeling, and exam completeness
- Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
- Archive images and document procedures in PACS/DHCP
- ARDMS certification – Required
- Familiarity with GE ultrasound equipment
- Knowledge of Philips Intelli Space PACS highly desirable
