The San Francisco Health Network, Population Health, Behavioral Health Services, and Administration are the core divisions of SFDPH. The San Francisco Health Network is the City’s only complete system of care and has locations throughout theCity, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, and over 15 primary care health centers. The Population Health Division (PHD) provides core public health services for the City and County of San Francisco: health protection, health promotion, disease and injury prevention, and disaster preparedness and response.

Behavioral Health Servicesoperatesin conjunction with SFHN andprovidesa range of mental health and substance use treatment services.

The San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH) utilizes the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR). Manager effectively collaborates with analysts assigned to the Epic teams, to build and implement Epic applications and integration with other EHR systems. The Epic Manager is responsible for the definition, coordination, implementation, maintenance and support of Epic application(s) within DPH. Epic Applications include:

• Epic Ambulatory
• Epic Cupid – Cardiology
• Epic Radiant – Radiology
• Epic Beaker – Lab

The Epic Application, Integration, and Reporting Teams are responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and supporting the clinical and financial aspects of the San Francisco Department of Public Health Electronic Health Record. This includes integration and interoperability with other third party clinical and financial systems and devices. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the use of Electronic Health Records in the hospital, ambulatory, revenue cycle and population health areas.

Duties Include

• Provides direct ongoing guidance and supervision of IS Business Analysts
• To support the design, implementation, support and optimization of the Epic enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) for the San Francisco Department of Public Health
• To collect information from departments, clinicians, health workers, vendors, and internal and external customers regarding electronic system development, implementation, issues, recommendations and utilization of best practices
