Summary
: ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Catering Sales Manager at the Moscone Center. The role plans and executes all food and beverage sales for large events averaging 1, attendees.

• Primary contact for assigned clients before, during, and after their event.
• Provide leadership and communication on behalf of the client to Moscone Event Managers, Food, and Beverage Operations.
• Plan, sell, and detail all menus for each assigned event, including requests to Culinary and Purchasing departments.
• Prepare Excel revenue forecasts for hosted and retail services.
• Work with Event Managers and Operation Managers for strategic planning.
• Create contracts, sales orders, payments, and event analysis including cost of goods.
• Act as a liaison between F&B Sales and other F&B departments, Event Managers, and the client.
• Plan all F&B details of every event assigned by the Associate Director of Sales.
• Interact continually with clients for program requirements before, during, and after each event.
• Attend production meetings and site visits for assigned events.
• Communicate event progress and planning details to the Senior Sales Manager assigned to your events.
• Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Sales.

• BA degree or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years as a Catering/Food and Beverage Sales Manager, Event Planner, Hotel Convention Services Manager, or Meeting Planner).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize.
• Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive disposition and ability to motivate staff to deliver exceptional hospitality service.
• Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hospitality software.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills; experience working with diverse clients and staff.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Catering software proficiency.

• Prior hotel and convention experience (a plus).
• Familiarity with union work and understanding of CBA rules.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 plus monthly commission based on catering sales revenue.
