Valet Attendant – The Clancy $19.18 - $19.50/HR + Tips
Position at Towne Park – San Francisco, CA.
Job Details
Compensation: $19.18 to $19.50 per hour plus tips, with a $2.21 shift differential for overnight shifts.
Work Schedule: Monday through Sunday.
Benefits: Eligible for accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, telemedicine insurance, and 401k retirement plan. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.
Summary
The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving vehicles safely, assisting guests with luggage, providing information and directions, and handling claims and revenue.
Essential Functions
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients – 25%.
- Use salutation of the day, greet guests, practice proper phone etiquette, and maintain a designated station when not completing tasks – 10%.
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists with bell services and luggage storage – 20%.
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries, delivers messages or amenities as requested – 10%.
- Explains parking rates, retrieves procedures, handles claim checks, records ticket information, calculates and collects revenue – 35%.
Qualifications
Education- High school diploma or GED.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state to which you are applying, or within a commutable distance.
- One (1) month related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Ability to read and write standard English.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Effective presentation of information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
- Basic math skills with monetary amounts.
- Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems.
- Understanding of rates applicable to time passed.
- Manual transmission operation is desirable.
- Parallel parking.
SCOPE
Authority To Act – The job follows established practices with specific directions; decisions are made within guidelines. Errors affect department efficiency.
Budget Responsibility – The employee controls only available resources.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Requires frequent sitting or standing, occasional lifting up to 100 pounds, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. May require short travel up to 5% of time.
