An Extra Banquet Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to uphold the hotel's commitment to outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a pleasant personality and demeanor throughout the event.
  • Provide food service for banquet events in accordance with hotel & banquet standards.
  • Set up action stations, cook (simmer, brown, sauté), and serve patrons at action stations per head chef plate presentation and garnishes.
  • Set up banquet buffet displays (hot and cold) within allotted time.
  • Maintain food levels at buffet displays.
  • Engage guests to determine food allergies, preferences, and dietary needs; report to the appropriate banquet captain(s).
  • Use proper coffee brewing and tea brewing techniques.
  • Be familiar with seating positions for plated events and proper serving techniques for food placement during synchronized service.
  • Complete all daily side duties, post‑function clean‑up, organization, and deep cleaning of affected work areas.
  • Attend all necessary pre‑shift and post‑shift meetings with banquet leadership.
  • Report to banquet leadership for inspection of completed work before leaving the property.
  • Store all banquet & hotel equipment used in an orderly and clean fashion per instructions from banquet captain, banquet assistant manager, banquet manager, and banquet director.
  • Deliver passionate and engaging service to our guests.
    • Be passionate and truly engaged in caring for guests, recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs to exceed expectations.
    • Consistently deliver our GUEST model:
      • Greet or welcome everyone warmly with a smile.
      • Use eye and ear contact and the guest’s name.
      • Anticipate needs.
      • Solve and own all requests/complaints.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.
  • Strong communication skills used frequently for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.
  • Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Understanding of basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts for guests.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group environments to customers, clients, or employees of the organizations老 we serve.
Pay Range

$20.57 per hour (rate outlined follows contract requirement).
