Position: Senior Manager, Compensation

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Compensation to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will shape and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy that supports competitive pay practices, pay equity, and total rewards effectiveness. You will partner closely with HR and business leaders to guide compensation philosophy, executive decision support, and equity governance.

In addition, you will lead a team of Compensation Business Partners while advancing process improvements, market insights, and technology-enabled efficiency across the compensation function.

Location:

San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $229,000 – $343,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to design competitive compensation packages
  • Develop and maintain the company's compensation philosophy
  • Lead efforts in equity program design and governance
  • Prepare analyses for executive compensation decisions
  • Conduct job evaluations and ensure pay equity compliance
  • Create training materials on total rewards for employees
  • Analyze datasets and implement tools for efficiency
  • Manage participation in compensation surveys to gather market data
  • Drive the integration of AI-enabled tools in the compensation workflow
  • Lead a team of Compensation Business Partners to align talent and compensation efforts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or a related area, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in HR, compensation, legal, finance, or a related field with management experience
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, preferably Workday, and market benchmarking tools
  • Fluency in federal and state labor laws related to pay and compensation
