Alaris Security is building the core technology stack for intelligent cyber security.
Designed for enterprise and defense organizations, our platform unifies security data
through our proprietary graph database and automates critical tasks using our agent
framework. Together these technologies allow us to provide a suite of products that
enhance defensive cyber security operations, including automating critical use-cases:
alert analysis, vulnerability triage, investigations, incident response, and attack staging
detection among many others.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll design the data infrastructure that powers our
platform—across petabyte-scale workloads, on-premise deployments, cloud
environments, and edge systems. You’ll architect and refine our database layer to
process and store thousands of alerts, processed by hundreds of autonomous agents,
supporting real-time security operations.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role. You’ll be building the systems that underpin every
product we ship—ensuring our databases are secure, scalable, and lightning‑fast.
You’ll help shape our schema design, ensure compliance with enterprise data
standards, and anticipate failure points before they happen.

• Architect and scale our core database systems to handle massive enterprise data volumes
• Design fault‑tolerant data infrastructure that works seamlessly across cloud, on‑prem, and constrained environments
• Develop performance testing and stress‑testing frameworks to identify and address system bottlenecks
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on data model design and access patterns
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and enterprise regulations (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
• Mentor engineers and help build a world‑class data team
• Contribute to long‑term architectural decisions and the Alaris platform roadmap

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database systems
• 4+ years working in enterprise environments with large‑scale data systems
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with Postgre
  
  SQL (design, optimization, scaling)
• Familiarity with Type Script and backend engineering best practices
• Deep understanding of data security, compliance, and governance frameworks
• Excellent communication and leadership skills—able to lead initiatives and mentor others
• Startup mindset: comfort with pace, autonomy, and ambiguity
• Bonus:
  Experience with graph databases or distributed data systems
