Job Title: System-Level Engineer
Location: Bay area, CA :
Hybrid (Local Only)
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking highly skilled System-Level Engineers with strong hands-on experience in OS internals, kernel-level programming, and device driver development
. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Go programming
, cloud-native technologies (Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Anthos), and automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet
. This role is not intended for application-level developers. Only those with strong foundations and practical experience in low-level systems engineering will be considered.
- Design, develop, and maintain system-level software, including device drivers
, kernel modules
, and OS-level components. - Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build scalable, resilient systems.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Kubernetes and Anthos
. - Automate system configurations and deployments using Ansible and Puppet
. - Work closely with cloud infrastructure and Dev Ops teams to ensure seamless integration of system components.
- Debug complex system-level issues across software/hardware boundaries.
- Strong experience in Go (Golang) for system-level development.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
- Deep understanding and working knowledge of Kubernetes and Anthos
. - Solid experience with Ansible and Puppet for automation and configuration management.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills at the system and kernel level.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative and technically challenging environment.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of system-level code.
- Exposure to other low-level languages (C/C++) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in a system-level development context.
- Only System-Level Engineers will be considered.
- Application-level developers will not be shortlisted.
