Job Overview

This role is for an Azure Cloud Engineer in San Francisco, CA, on a 6‑12 month contract with a competitive pay rate. Key skills include Microsoft Azure, Azure Dev Ops, Terraform, and experience with Windows and Linux systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure Cloud Services including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.

• Implement and maintain Azure Dev Ops pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Manage source code repositories using GIT and follow best practices for version control.

• Monitor cloud resources using Azure Monitor and implement alerting and performance optimization.

• Configure and manage Azure Backup or other relevant backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Administer and support Windows and Linux based systems in cloud and hybrid environments.

• Work with VMware infrastructure and integrate with Azure where required.

• Ensure high availability, security, scalability, and cost optimization of cloud resources.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to support application deployments.

• Troubleshoot, deployment, and performance‑related issues.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

• Hands‑on expertise in Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.

• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience with Azure Backup, disaster recovery, and data protection solutions.

• Solid understanding of Azure Monitor, logging, and alerting.

• Working knowledge of VMware environments.

• Proficient in GIT and version control workflows.

• Strong experience administering Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Good understanding of cloud security, networking, and best practices.
