As a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Intelligence (CI) SA you will be a leader with deep technical and business expertise influencing the AWS field on sales strategy and helping to design cloud-native solutions for customers. You will develop and maintain cloud migration and modernization acumen across AWS and other public cloud offerings. You will document and share insights to scale your expertise and to improve product offerings and go-to-market campaigns.

The ideal candidate understands the public cloud and has a passion for continual learning about new cloud offerings and industry developments. You must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, think strategically about customer needs, and communicate with both C-level executives and technical decision makers. You must have a proven track record as a consultant, advisor, or key stakeholder delivering cloud-native solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on GCP technology and GCP’s go-to-market strategy.

• Consult with field SAs and BDs to analyze customers’ business and technical requirements and determine how needs can be met by AWS.

• Present recommendations and designs to customers, interacting with executives and technical audiences.

• Analyze trends and competitive offerings to generate technical and business insights. Foster a community of competitive specialists who leverage insights.

• Technical content creation (decks, whitepapers, recordings).

• Deliver technical presentations and trainings to field SAs, BDMs, and product stakeholders.

• Deliver operational excellence managing a pipeline of technical engagements requiring rapid delivery and reprioritization.

Organization context

The AWS Cloud Intelligence team provides cloud competitive expertise globally, covering top and emerging competitors, key domains, and industry segments. The team advises account teams and customers through scalable content, analyzes insights on cloud providers, and identifies product and position gaps to improve AWS value proposition. The team also offers targeted support for competitive opportunities through one-to-one engagements.

About the Team

At AWS, the Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) team drives cloud adoption and business growth through pricing strategies. The organization includes Strategic Customer Engagements and Private Pricing Programs & Experiences, with opportunities to develop cloud economics expertise and impact AWS market leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

• 4+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)

• 2+ years of architecting/operating solutions on any cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)

• 2+ years of customer-facing experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field

• 2+ years of enterprise technology experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud

• Strong written and verbal communication of complex concepts

• AWS or other cloud certification

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
