DESCRIPTION:

At eero, our mission is to serve as the central nervous system of the home. While we began by revolutionizing home WiFi, we now create comprehensive and secure solutions that serve both wireless and wired connectivity needs for customers and businesses worldwide. As an Amazon company, we combine the agility of startup culture with the resources and stability of one of the world's leading technology companies.

Our team builds products that customers love - from mesh routers to high-performance wired networking devices - and we're looking for you to join us in shaping the future of the connected home.

Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to be embedded within the eero organization, providing security expertise and strategic guidance across our entire solutions ecosystem. In this role, you will partner closely with software development teams to ensure we maintain the highest security standards while delivering innovative services that protect millions of homes and businesses. You'll be integrated directly within eero's innovative culture, ensuring security is thoughtfully woven into every decision from initial design through deployment and beyond.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with exceptional leadership and communication skills. You'll need to clearly articulate complex security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences, effectively harmonize diverse perspectives, and skillfully prioritize risks to guide teams toward secure solutions through influence and collaboration. This role requires a security professional who thrives when partnering closely with product and engineering teams to deliver the most secure customer solutions possible.

A day in the life
Your work will be dynamic and impactful. Day-to-day, you might find yourself analyzing application code for security vulnerabilities, building tools and frameworks that help developers work more securely and efficiently, or partnering with engineering teams to integrate security into new service architectures. You'll conduct comprehensive security reviews, and collaborate with product managers to balance security requirements with exceptional user experiences.
