Teradata DBA

• Teradata DB administration: tasks including user, database, role, and profile setup and maintenance.
• Experience in security and space management (partitioning, data compression).
• Performance & DB monitoring (handling database locks, priority scheduling, query tuning, query log analysis).
• ARC Main for DB backup and restoration and BAR solution.
• DB performance, DB growth and usage reporting (PMCP – performance monitoring & capacity planning reports), data skew reports.
• Ferret, DBS Console, Check Table.
• TASM and Teradata, Work Load Manager, TPT.
• Well versed with View Point for DB monitoring.
• Should be able to take up a lead role for one of the application sectors.
• Should understand onsite-offshore delivery model.

• Experience with ARC Main for DB backup/restoration and BAR solution.
• Experience with DB performance, growth and usage reporting (PMCP – performance monitoring & capacity planning reports), data skew reports.
• Familiarity with Ferret, DBS Console, and Check Table tooling.
• Familiarity with TASM and Teradata, Work Load Manager, and TPT.
• Well-versed with ViewPoint for DB monitoring.
• Ability to take a lead role for an application sector.
• Understanding of onsite-offshore delivery model.
