About Crewline
Crewline is building the next generation of autonomous construction vehicles to transform how the world builds. Our mission is to fix humanity’s heartbeat—
construction
—by bringing autonomy, robotics, and real-world intelligence to heavy machinery. We operate where hardware, autonomy, and real-world chaos collide, and we move fast to put code directly into production on real machines.
Crewline is seeking a Perception Engineer to architect and deploy the perception systems that power teleoperated and semi-autonomous heavy equipment
. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, unstructured environments and is excited to see their work control 20 tons of steel in real-world conditions.
You’ll operate at the core of Crewline’s autonomy stack, building scalable perception systems that translate raw sensor data into reliable machine awareness on active construction sites.
What You’ll Do- Architect and build robust 3D perception pipelines for teleoperated and semi-autonomous construction machinery
- Develop strong baseline perception algorithms and evolve them into advanced deep learning models as needed
- Build real-time object detection, classification, and tracking systems to enhance operator situational awareness
- Calibrate and fuse multi-modal sensor data
, ensuring spatial and temporal accuracy under real-world conditions - Optimize perception algorithms for embedded compute platforms
, delivering low-latency, stable performance - Validate and refine systems through real-world testing on live construction equipment
- 2–10 years of experience in robotics perception, computer vision, or autonomous systems
- Strong foundation in 3D perception, object detection, and sensor fusion
- Experience building real-time perception systems for embedded or edge computing environments
- Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python
- Hands-on experience with sensor calibration, tracking, and multi-sensor fusion
- Comfortable operating in unstructured, unpredictable real-world environments
- Deep passion for robotics, autonomy, and building physical systems that matter
- Your work directly powers real, production heavy machinery
- You’ll tackle one of the hardest autonomy challenges:
active construction environments - You’ll own perception systems end-to-end
, from research to deployment - Extreme ownership, real-world validation, and visible impact every day
- Work on autonomy at true industrial scale
- Build systems that reshape how physical infrastructure is created
- High-impact role with rapid growth opportunity
- Competitive compensation and long-term upside
If you want to build perception systems that don’t just run in simulation, but actively reshape how the world is built,
Crewline is the place to do it.
