The Opportunity

We are seeking a Biostatistics Lead to lead and scale the biostatistics function  will be the subject‑matter expert responsible for establishing best‑in‑class processes, mentoring a growing team, and directly impacting the scientific rigor and success of our non‑interventional research studies. This is a role for a strong people manager who is excited to build a tech‑forward team that delivers high‑impact results for our life sciences partners.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the biostatistics function within our delivery team, including managing and scaling a high‑performing team of biostatisticians to meet the demands of our growing non‑interventional study portfolio that leverages both primary (e.g., PROs, ClinROs, wearables) and secondary data (e.g., medical records, claims).
  • Define and implement the operational roadmap for Biostatistics, establishing the standards, processes, and best practices for delivering efficient, high‑quality statistical deliverables.
  • Serve as a senior biostatistics partner to internal teams and external clients, providing expert consultation to shape study strategy and build long‑term, confident partnerships.
  • Provide senior strategic oversight for all client‑facing statistical matters, taking ultimate accountability for resolving methodological challenges.
  • Champion and integrate AI and other novel technologies to enhance analytical capabilities, drive efficiency, and establish our team as an industry leader in tech‑forward research.
  • Occasionally roll up your sleeves to lead and execute complex analyses on key projects while the team scales.
What You’ll Bring
  • An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 10+ years of experience in biostatistics within the life sciences (pharma, biotech, CRO).
  • At least 5 years of direct people‑management experience and comfort managing both junior and senior team members.
  • Deep, hands‑on expertise in statistical methods for observational and real‑world evidence (RWE) studies, including external control arms (ECAs), application of causal inference methods (e.g., propensity score matching, marginal structural models), and advanced techniques for imputation and handling of missing data.
  • Proven ability to lead consultative interactions with senior client stakeholders, with exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to instill confidence.
  • Expertise with multiple real‑world data sources (medical records, claims, wearables, PROs, ClinROs).
  • Expert proficiency in R and the tidyverse; experience with SAS or Python is a plus.
