Data Engineer, Data Infrastructure and Generative Intelligence - AIGC Finance

Amazon is looking for a motivated Data Engineer with strong database, analytical skills and big data technology experience to join the Amazon’s Advertising business. You will be a part of the AIGC DIGI team which supports multiple Ads businesses, including but not limited to Stores (), Amazon Business, Devices, Video, and Audio Ads.

This is an exciting opportunity to re-envision the data architecture for multiple unique ads businesses and be hands-on to deliver your data solutions end-to-end and bring your impact to the teams immediately. As a key data solution provider, you will be partnering with Finance and Business leaders to design, build, expand and optimize data solutions to ensure data scalability, stability, and accuracy.

You will be working with massive amount of data in the ads space, and your big data solutions will be supporting our rapidly growing, complex and dynamic businesses demand for data.

Finally yet importantly, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust communication to different groups of stakeholders, collaborating with BI engineers, data scientists, software engineers, product managers, program managers, and leadership to evaluate business needs and objectives in order to set up the best data management environment.

• Understand unique business needs, review existing tech stack and data landscape, design/re-design, implement and build an analytical data infrastructure for multiple ads businesses
• Influence upstream and partner data teams to ensure the reliable data solutions for our team
• Manage AWS resources including EC2, EMR, S3, Glue, Redshift, etc
• Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources
• Explore, learn and adopt the latest AWS technologies to provide new capabilities and increase efficiency
• Collaborate with and support Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs) to recognize and help adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Work with stakeholders to understand the business questions and define requirements and build out scalable data solutions
• Support continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers

Our team builds and operates scalable data infrastructure and AI solutions that serve finance and business stakeholders across AIGC.

This role will work closely with the APM Advertising Finance team, which supports various publishers, including Stores, Amazon Business, Books, Grocery/Physical Store, Devices, Video, and Audio. The team focuses on accelerating top-line revenue and improve profitability by evaluating overall ad supply monetization and utilization, product feature or sales package adoption, campaign performance, and other various product drivers of growth.

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using OLAP technologies experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using Oracle experience
• 3+ years of in the job offered or a related occupation experience
• 1+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using each of the following: ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)/ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Fire Hose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
