Overview

Ukrainian Interpreter (San Francisco Bay Area) - independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities. The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and are available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreter's qualifications.

Provide professional interpretation in healthcare settings. Ensure accurate, complete, and clear interpretation with fidelity to the original communication. Interpret orally between Ukrainian and English in both directions. Work with diverse individuals including medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders. Meet the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, and related entities.

• Fluency in both Ukrainian and English
• Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with fidelity to the original communication
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Ukrainian and English in both directions
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
• Possession of a valid California license
