The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and are available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreter's qualifications.

• Fluency in both ASL and English
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication
• Strong ability to interpret orally between ASL and English in both directions
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
• Possession of a valid California license
