Litigation Docket Clerk
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP seeks a Litigation Docket Clerk to support our litigation practice firmwide.
Location:
San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), Orange County, Century City, Los Angeles. Hybrid in‑office/remote schedule. Overtime flexibility required.
- Maintain the firm’s docket system for litigation lawyers in multiple courts and jurisdictions.
- Identify pertinent deadlines and prepare master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff.
- Obtain filing information from court clerks and online dockets.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience desired, preferably in a large law firm.
- Understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures and familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced professional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs. Pro Law or comparable docketing software a plus.
Salary ranges vary by location:
- San Francisco, CA & Silicon Valley, CA: $57,900–$92,550.
- Century City, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Orange County, CA, Seattle, WA: $55,500–$88,800.
Base salary will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience and market factors. Total compensation may include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan and participate in company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other benefits. Additional benefits include 9 paid holidays, 2 personal days, up to 20 vacation days, sick leave, bereavement leave, paid parental leave, and paid pregnancy disability leave.
