Paralegal

Kaufman Dolowich, recognized by U.S. News in their list of “Best Companies to Work For - Law Firms,” is seeking a Paralegal with 3+ years of litigation experience. Our San Francisco team is comprised of highly skilled and motivated individuals, who are seeking a dynamic self‑starter to join our growing team.

• Works with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings
• Utilizes existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases
• Drafts discovery demands and responses, including, but not limited to, Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection and Requests for Admissions
• Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders, as well as processes deposition transcripts
• Prepares first set of exhibits for motions, discovery responses, timelines, exhibits, etc.
• Reviews outgoing document production, including redacting and Bates stamping
• Creates Preservation of Evidence Letter and Document Request Letters
• Performs legal research
• Processes HIPAA authorizations and follows up with providers for medical records
• Reviews, summarizes and analyzes medical records to assist with defense of action
• Other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations

• Litigation experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Industry recognized certification from organizations such as ABA, NALA, or AACP
• Experience using legal database software (Net Docs and West Law preferred)
• Familiarity with legal terminology and principles
• Ability to analyze legal documents and perform legal research accurately
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain a positive attitude, and provide exemplary customer service

$60,000 – $95,000. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job‑related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich, which also includes a discretionary and billable hours‑based bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full‑time employees.
