V&L is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 3-5 years of experience for a full-time, hybrid position at our Walnut Creek office.
As a Litigation Paralegal you will be providing comprehensive support to attorneys throughout the litigation process, from the initial case evaluation to post-trial activities. Your core skills in legal administration and communication will be essential in facilitating effective collaboration within the law office. You will utilize databases and document management systems to ensure accurate data entry, organization of legal documents and attention to detail in proofreading.

- Perform all elements of litigation case management, including file intake and management, discovery, and trial activities.
- Utilize existing systems and procedures and/or establish new procedures to facilitate the organization and retrieval of documents by and for the attorneys.
- Coordinate case investigations in all phases of litigation from discovery through trial/arbitration.
- Interact with outside entities (e.g. courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed in support of firm activities, specifically trials and arbitrations.
- Draft, review, and/or analyze routine legal documents as requested by attorneys; conduct legal research under attorney supervision.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience as a litigation paralegal in a litigation practice firm.
- Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial.
- Experience developing and maintaining processes to collect, store, and maintain paper and electronic case files.
- Ability to convey information to individuals at all levels within the firm in a courteous and professional manner; strong service orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
