About the Role

About the Role:

The Produce Warehouse Production Manager is responsible for various tasks from day to day and is open to learning new skills. The role oversees the daily production of high-quality food products for our produce, deli, cheese, bakery, and grocery. This position leads the Food Production team in conjunction with our chef and buying team to meet overall daily production requirements. A flexible schedule, including possible overnight shifts, is required.

Essential

Functions
  • Manage a schedule and coordinate breaks and lunches based on operational needs.
  • Analyze workload and adjust workforce.
  • Follow recipe specifications in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet kitchen and recipe guidelines.
  • Ensure facilities are clean and products are stored properly/labeled; submit the daily cleaning checklist with photos.
  • Communicate needs for product, packaging, labels, and supplies to the Director of Produce Operations/Chefs/Deli Administrative Assistant/Business Development and ensure proper availability.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all items/equipment/products and facilities.
  • Packing and labeling foods to go with accuracy and integrity.
  • Produce raw goods into finished retail, ready consumer packaged goods.
  • Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms and meet spoilage targets.
  • Measure and report fulfillment metrics daily.
  • Communicate effectively and timely with supervisors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 1-3 years’ experience working in a kitchen environment with proven production experience.
  • Serv-Safe certified.
  • Experience cooking/handling of cold and hot foods.
  • Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Packout/Production Experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Continuous use of hands for packaging and working in a food production facility.
  • Standing:
    Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking:
    Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Reaching:
    Up to 4 hours per day.
  • Work in a refrigerated environment: 8+ hours per day.
  • Complete NGA Online Courses as required by Mollie Stone’s Markets, including but not limited to Sexual Harassment and Food Handlers Courses.
  • Must be able to clean, sweep, and maintain the facilities.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • We are always looking for leaders and the ability to grow within the company. Each team member is expected to treat the facilities with care and the attention of a leader.

Experience:

$30-$35/hour
