Event Management & Planning
Construction is a multi-trillion-dollar industry that still estimates by hand. Contractors measure and count materials off drawings manually, and it caps how many jobs they can bid. Bobyard uses computer vision and NLP to automate takeoffs and estimates, so contractors bid faster and win more. We raised a $35M Series A led by 8VC, with Primary and Pear, and we're growing fast.
About the roleContractors buy from people they've met, and a lot of those meetings happen on a trade show floor. You'll own Bobyard's events program across the trades we serve: landscaping, electrical, mechanical, concrete, and more. You'll set our events strategy, decide which events are worth it, run the biggest ones yourself, and report what each one returned in meetings and pipeline. You'll partner closely with sales, and plans will change often.
The work is physical and show weeks are long. The payoff is knowing exactly which events win us customers.
Set the events strategy and annual calendar, tier every event, and set a meetings target for each one before we sign
Own the event budget and negotiate sponsor ships, booth space, and vendor contracts
Run booth logistics end to end: exhibitor deadlines, shipping, booth build, staffing, and on-site execution
Work with our SDRs and AEs to book meetings before every show and staff the booth with the right people
Get every lead into Hub Spot and in front of the right rep within 48 hours of the show closing
Report what each event cost and returned to leadership, and decide which events to drop, keep, or expand
Write the playbook so each show runs faster than the last
