Our client, a fast-growing, mission-driven social enterprise seeking a Vice President of Development. They are redefining access to healthy, affordable food by combining the scalability of a modern retail business with the purpose and impact of a nonprofit. With a proven model spanning retail locations, institutional partnerships, and a nationally recognized social equity and training program, the organization has already raised over $15M in philanthropic funding and is positioned to more than double its footprint in the coming years.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role at a pivotal moment—working directly with the CEO to scale philanthropic support, deepen community impact, and help shape the long‑term growth of a highly visible, values‑driven organization.
- Serve as the senior leader for all philanthropic fundraising
, owning strategy and execution - Partner directly with the CEO on donor cultivation, prospecting, and long‑term development planning
- Build and execute annual and multi‑year fundraising plans aligned with growth goals
- Lead major gift, foundation, and high‑net‑worth donor engagement efforts
- Leverage existing foundation relationships while identifying and securing new funding opportunities
- Own the end‑to‑end grant and proposal process
, from strategy through submission - Track fundraising performance and donor activity using Hub Spot CRM
- Act as an external ambassador for the organization at meetings, events, and conferences
- 5+ years of progressive fundraising or development experience with success in major gifts and grants
- Established credibility and relationships within the philanthropic or foundation space
- Entrepreneurial, hands‑on mindset—comfortable building programs from the ground up
- Strong communicator able to clearly articulate mission, impact, and vision
- Highly organized, self‑directed, and effective in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment
- Experience with Hub Spot or comparable CRM platforms
- Direct access to leadership with real influence on strategy and impact
