Program Coordinator – Mayor’s Youth Employment & Education Program (MYEEP), Chinatown
Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) provides education, leadership development, behavioral health, intervention, street outreach, and workforce development services to youth and their families in the San Francisco community. CYC envisions empowering young people to reach their highest potential as individuals and to develop a positive self/cultural identity.

Program Coordinator – MYEEP, Chinatown
Salary: $29.00–$34.00 per hour plus benefits
Reports to:
Program Manager / Sr. Program Coordinator
Status:
Full-time;
Non-Exempt (40 hours/week)
- Preparing program participants for subsidized employment at nonprofit and public sector placements
- Developing and facilitating workshops to meet program learning objectives
- Outreaching, recruiting and certifying youth participants
- Compiling monthly reports and correcting timesheets for program participants
- Checking in with each individual participant on a regular basis
- Conducting case management and developing individualized transition plans
- Recruiting worksites to host program participants
- Developing and maintaining partnerships with worksites, community leaders, and stakeholders
- Supervising youth leaders, youth interns, and part-time adult program staff
- Meeting with staff from collaborating agencies
- Supporting program and agency wide events
- Other duties related to program as assigned
- 1–2 years of youth development experience or experience in nonprofit direct services or related field
- Demonstrate clear and effective facilitation skills
- Experience and ability to work with diverse populations of youth
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required.
- Knowledge of the needs of youth involved with the juvenile justice system
- Experience building professional relationships
- Have exceptional organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing timelines
- Ability to lift or move at least 25 lbs.
- Competency with PC-based software including Microsoft Office and various Adobe software
- Knowledge of youth programs, schools, and resources in San Francisco
