The Development Officer, Corporate and Foundation Relations
, works directly with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement to forward the department's mission of generating philanthropic and community support for the School through its fundraising programs and public relations activities. The Officer is actively engaged in working to establish long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with the U.S. corporate and foundation sector as well as the Greek foundation sector.

• Research and identify sources of support;
• Prepare and submit proposals for operating, capital and endowment gifts. Manage the annual cycle of submissions, reports and other required documentation;
• Manage other development writing projects, as assigned, from inception through delivery;
• Meet with Foundations as needed;
• Interface with AFS department heads and senior academic and research staff for proposal writing and relationship-based fundraising across the Institution;
  
  Collaborate with other members of the Schools Advancement team as well as other AFS staff;
• Research resources for foundation and corporate fundraising (including Target Analytics,Foundation Center, Guidestar, etc);
• In collaboration with the Communications team develop compelling and succinct materials that inspire philanthropic support for the School;
• Proactively seek opportunities to generate new funding proposals based on guidelines and interests and help to maintain communication ties with corporate and foundation donors and prospects.

• University studies
• Excellent and demonstrated written and oral communication skills in English and Greek
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office and intermediate to advanced skills using AIapplications
• Prior experience in development and fundraising work
• Experience with fundraising software (Raisers Edge) preferred
• Familiarity with online and print resources for biographical and contact informationresearch
• Self-motivated, self-disciplined and capacity to work independently
• Consistently positive attitude and strong teamwork ethic
• Accuracy and exemplary attention to detail
• Discretion to observe confidentiality guidelines established by the School
• Outstanding project management and organizational skills
