Full‑time Surgical Center Nurse Manager, Monday‑Friday 6:45am‑3:15pm, located in San Francisco. IVIRMA RMA North America seeks a candidate to lead our high‑volume fertility surgical center and ensure seamless, high‑quality patient care.

Job Purpose

The Surgical Center Manager assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of services in the facility, which includes gynecological, urological, hysterosalpingography (HSG), and in‑vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures.

Essential Functions / Accountabilities
  • Operates as a working manager and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing as needed.
  • Assists with planning and ensuring equipment and supplies based on procedure and physician needs.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise in all procedures and assists physicians as it relates to specific procedures and patient needs.
  • Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care.
  • Provides flexibility to perform other functions within the Center, procedure rooms, and operating rooms to assist in smooth operation, including coverage and lunch breaks.
  • Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings, and documents information appropriately, including monthly quality metrics.
  • Actively focuses on improving patient care and process improvement.
  • Contributes to orientation and training of new staff.
  • Maintains a safe working environment, including radiation safety and appropriate personal protection attire.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, peers, managers, and subordinates.
  • Serves on the Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committees.
  • Ensures adequate equipment and supply levels for operations.
  • Oversees all staff positions, including receptionists, SPD technicians, nurses, and surgical technicians.
  • Monitors staff functions throughout the day to ensure all staff are actively completing their assigned tasks, with the goal of running an efficient center.
Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Ensures that team members have the necessary training for proper performance and development.
  • Maintains organization of team members’ timesheets, PTO, schedules, etc., to ensure that tasks are properly carried out.
  • Transmits the company’s policies (health and safety, labor legislation, training, etc.) to ensure compliance.
Academic Training
  • Bachelor’s degree – Nursing
Studies
  • University Education (Bachelor's Degree) – Nursing
  • License – Nursing, California – required
  • Certification – BCLS/ACLS – required
Position Requirements / Experience
  • 2+ years clinical nursing experience – required
  • Must have thorough understanding of regulatory guidelines (Quad‑A, AAAHC, CLIA, OSHA, State Department(s) of Health, CMS, and DEA) – required
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in nursing assessment and intravenous therapy
  • Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
