Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour variable shifts Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM

• No weekends or on-call responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts

• Responsible for pre-oping patients for surgery including patient assessment, IV insertion, foley insertion, glucose checks, blood draws, and executing physician orders

• Discharge patients to unit or home after surgery and recover patients in PACU and ACU

• 2 years of PACU/ICU experience required

• Previous charge experience required

• Must maintain California RN licensure valid at time of submission

• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS - all must be AHA certified and in hand at submittal

• Epic charting experience preferred

• Care for adolescent, adult, and pediatric patient populations

• May float to ambulatory care unit or other CPMC locations when census is low

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing

• Complete non-billable modules during orientation averaging 1-5 hours

• Work with various surgical specialties including ENT, general, gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, and urology
