American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER Holding RN with a CA license, requiring the flexibility to float to MS/Tele units when not needed in ED Holding.
Details- ER Holding unit with floating to Med-Surg/Telemetry when not utilized in ED Holding
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Day shift, 3x12 hours,
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirement
- Pediatric and adult emergency patient populations including trauma, respiratory, psychiatric, and neurological cases
- Active CA RN license
- BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
- 3 years of overall experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Travel RN experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, respiratory care, and emergency medication administration
- Experience managing trauma, psychiatric, and pediatric emergency cases
- Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, clinical procedures (IV, Foley, dressings), and patient/family education
- Perform tele monitoring, IV, and ventilator management per facility standards
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, acting as patient advocate
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting
- Role model safety behaviors and report errors or near misses
- Maintain a professional appearance and complete tasks within assigned time frames
- Accepts local candidates at local rate; otherwise a 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
- Returning staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- Candidates may only submit to one Sutter Health facility at a time
