American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with a CA license and BSN for a 14-week day shift assignment requiring teaching hospital experience.
Details- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab
- Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and PA line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
- Day shift schedule with variable starts, 4x10 hour shifts
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
- Epic charting system experience required
- Active CA RN license required at time of submission
- BSN required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or IR experience required
- Minimum 3-5 years combined experience in PACU, ICU, CCU, and/or Cath Lab required
- Minimum 5 years of clinic nursing experience required
- Heavy PACU experience needed
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
- Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, equipment, accessories, surgical procedures, and sterile technique required
- Recent travel experience within the past 12 months required
- Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration
- Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, or proof of scheduled booster appointment prior to start date
- Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager prior to offer
- No time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
- Teaching hospital experience preferred in addition to being required
- Mandatory annual training modules completed during pre-start and renewed annually
