American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a California license to provide critical care at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital on night shift.
Details- ICU setting including Neuro and Surgical Intensive Care Units
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts,
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required as needed
- Epic charting system used
- Active California RN license required
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- CCRN and TNCC certifications preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required, 4 years preferred
- Level I Trauma center experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD preferred
- Experience managing continuous IV sedation and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgery patient management
- Experience with TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and VAD management preferred
- Experience with Flo Trac/Vigileo and Swan Ganz monitoring
- Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required
- Provide critical care nursing to neuro and surgical ICU patient populations, including multisystem organ dysfunction cases
- Manage complex cardiovascular, neurological, respiratory, and renal conditions in critically ill patients
- Support infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions and PPE use
- Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning staff/travelers must have a 1-year separation before returning
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
- First-time travelers may be considered if all requirements are met
