American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level I Trauma Center requiring a CA RN license and 3+ years of ICU experience.
Details- Work in the Neuro and Surgical Intensive Care Unit of a Level I Trauma Center
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
- No on-call requirement, but weekend rotation required
- Floating required as needed
- Epic charting system experience required
- Active California RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or ARC)
- CCRN, TNCC preferred
- 3 years of ICU experience required, 4 years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
- Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, chest tube care, and BiPAP/CPAP management
- Experience managing vasoactive and cardiac drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation
- Knowledge of CVA/stroke management, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgical care preferred
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management skills required
- ECMO, Flo Trac/Vigileo monitoring, and TBI/spinal cord injury experience preferred
- CVVHD/CRRT experience preferred
- 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required
- Provide critical care nursing to complex ICU patients including neuro and surgical cases
- Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
- Perform phlebotomy and apply infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
- Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers considered if all requirements are met
