American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring CA RN licensure, PALS certification, and teaching hospital experience.

• Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) at a teaching hospital
• 12-hour Day/Night variable shift schedule (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic charting system required
• Floating to other UCSF facilities and units may be required based on qualifications

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and PALS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, telemetry, ventilator management, and central line care required
• Experience with bone marrow transplant patients preferred
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized interventions
• Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, intubation assistance, and airway care
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and neurological care including ICP monitoring and EVD care
• Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved by the manager at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no time off allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
