American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift hospital position requiring CA RN licensure, BSN, and prior teaching hospital experience.

• Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius required

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required
• Experience with ortho and transgender patient populations preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg unit, including IV therapy, wound care, and respiratory and GI management
• Floating to other departments, units, or facilities may occur at any time during the assignment if job specifications are met
• COVID vaccination and booster required, with proof or documentation of scheduled booster appointment needed for consideration
• All RTO must be disclosed and approved at the time of offer; no RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment, and no additional requests accepted mid-contract
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or affiliated/acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
