Travel RN - Operating Room - Ambulatory

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Ambulatory Care RN for a day-shift clinic role requiring phone triage experience and teaching hospital background.

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Triage experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Family care clinic, internal medicine, and pediatric experience preferred
• Skills in venipuncture, specimen collection, EKG/ECG, vital signs, medication administration, and immunizations preferred
• Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Work in an ambulatory care setting spanning two clinics within the same courtyard
• Patient population spans all age groups from newborns to geriatrics
• Primary responsibility is in-clinic phone triage with possible reassignment to the floor for clinic coverage, nurse visits, and point-of-care testing
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed, within a 75+ mile radius
• Epic EMR used
• Responsibilities include telephone triage, medication refills, patient teaching, specimen collection, vital signs, immunizations, and assisting with minor procedures such as suture removal
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates worked, units, and manager names for a rehire eligibility check
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager prior to offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract and none permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as traveler candidates
• Travel pairs are permitted but generally will not be placed on the same unit, and married couples may not work on the same unit
