American Traveler is hiring an experienced Neuro ICU RN with CA licensure, BSN, and prior teaching hospital experience for a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

• Neuro ICU unit within a Comprehensive Stroke Center
• 12-hour variable day/night shifts (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
• Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
• Epic charting system required

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Neuro ICU and Trauma ICU experience preferred
• EVD, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocol experience preferred
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management, post-craniotomy, and traumatic brain injury care preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, and titration of vasoactive/cardiac drips
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to neuro and trauma ICU patients, including post-neurosurgical and stroke cases
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with full employment history for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager; no time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
