American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring CA licensure, BSN, and teaching hospital experience at a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

• Neuro ICU within a Comprehensive Stroke Center at a teaching hospital
• Variable 12-hour day and night shifts (7:00-19:30 / 19:00-7:30), 3x12 hours
• Floating required to other units or facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed
• Epic charting system used

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Prior Neuro ICU and Trauma ICU experience preferred
• EVD experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills in CVA/acute stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery care preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial line management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to patients in a Neuro ICU and Trauma ICU setting
• Charge experience preferred
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with full employment history for rehire eligibility review
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and no RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
