Position: Playground Leader Trainee (Non-Career)

Playground Leader Trainee (Non-Career)

City of Berkeley – Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department.

Base Pay Range

$24.50/hr – $24.50/hr

Job Opportunity

Assist in leading children during recreation activities in the city’s parks.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of sophomore year of high school and a minimum age of 16 by date of appointment.

Exam Process
  • Application review for minimum qualifications
  • Review of Supplemental Questionnaire

Tests may include written, oral, and other assessments covering typing, math, reading, writing, analytical skills, problem solving, computer proficiency, or other job‑related knowledge.

Pre‑Employment Process

Background/reference check, employment history, educational credential verification, license confirmation, credit check, criminal history check, and live‑scan fingerprinting.
