Wayo is at an exciting inflection point, with real revenue, strong inbound demand, and new AI products launching. We’re now building our go-to-market foundation and are looking for our first GTM hire to help turn early traction into a repeatable, scalable growth engine.

The role

This is not a traditional sales role.

You’ll be Wayo’s first go-to-market hire, working directly with the founders to define who we sell to, how we sell, and why we win. You’ll own new customer acquisition end-to-end, while working closely with customers every day to understand their needs and buying drivers.

If you’re excited to take real ownership, work closely with the founders, and help build a durable go-to-market foundation from the ground up, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with founders to shape and execute the company’s go-to-market strategy, including ICP definition, messaging, and acquisition channels

• Identify, prospect, and close net-new customers, owning the full sales cycle from first touch through close

• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to source and pitch new business opportunities

• Drive outbound to high-intent ICPs (startup founders, marketing & events teams, HR and operations leaders) through email, Linked In, calls, and in-person outreach

• Develop and manage strategic brand, community, and partner relationships that generate new customer acquisition

• Deliver tailored demos and tailored proposals based on customer objectives, budget, and delivery constraints

• Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, and marketing to scope solutions and ensure smooth handoff post-close

• Act as the voice of the customer, surfacing insights to inform product, pricing, and operational improvements

• Consistently meet or exceed revenue and new-logo targets

• Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking in Hub Spot

What we’re looking for

• 5 years of experience in a B2B sales experience (ideally with some startup experience)

• Demonstrated success driving revenue through outbound prospecting

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a persuasive, consultative selling style

• Highly proactive, curious, organized, and comfortable moving quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Excited to build from zero to one and work closely with founders to shape the GTM motion

Bonus points if you have experience in

• Marketplaces, B2B e-commerce, or supply-chain-driven businesses

• Selling to startups, marketing, events, HR, or operations teams

• Being an early sales hire or part of a founding GTM team

• Cold outbound, including cold calling and event-driven prospecting
