Our client is a market-leading global Air & Sea Freight Forwarder
, renowned for delivering complex, time-critical logistics solutions across international supply chains. With a strong footprint in the US and a truly global network, they partner with some of the world’s most recognised brands, offering innovative, reliable, and scalable freight solutions.
As part of continued growth within their vertical strategy, they are expanding their Automotive sector and are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead and grow key client relationships on the West Coast.
The RoleThe Account Director will be responsible for owning, developing, and expanding strategic Automotive accounts
, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while driving revenue growth across Air and Sea freight solutions. This is a senior, client-facing role suited to someone who thrives in a consultative environment and understands the complexity of automotive supply chains, including production, aftermarket, and time-critical movements.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic Automotive clients
, with full P&L accountability - Develop long-term relationships with senior decision-makers across OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers
- Identify and execute new business opportunities within existing accounts and target prospects
- Lead pricing, contract negotiations, and solution design in collaboration with operations and product teams
- Drive Air & Sea freight volumes while promoting value-added and multimodal solutions
- Act as the escalation point for key accounts, ensuring service excellence and customer retention
- Monitor market trends within the Automotive sector to support strategic growth initiatives
- Proven experience in Air & Sea Freight Forwarding
, ideally within a global forwarder - Strong background managing Automotive accounts (OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2, or related supply chains)
- Demonstrated success in account growth, revenue development, and client retention
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating high-value contracts
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating across global teams
