Account Manager, Business Development
Own the accounts that are building the AI economy — and make sure they actually get value from it. You will be the single point of accountability for a portfolio of enterprise technology clients: growing them, protecting them, and turning stalled AI programs into governed, production-grade capability. This is a consultative role: part trusted advisor, part account owner, part growth engine.
THEOPPORTUNITY
Technology companies build the rails everyone else runs AI on and face the sharpest pressure to prove AI works inside their own operations, at their own scale and cost structure. Product telemetry, customer and usage data, and engineering systems are rich but fragmented; the context layer is missing. As a Client Partner / Account Manager – Technology, you will own a named portfolio in the Bay Area and across the West: deepening executive relationships, diagnosing the real problem behind a client’s stalled AI program, expanding a first engagement into platform modernization and Context Ops-based scaling, and owning renewal and growth.
You will sell to CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, Chief Product Officers, VPs of Engineering, CISOs, CFOs, and COOs, so you must be as fluent in unit economics and sector dynamics as in the technology behind them.
- Own named accounts end to end — relationship health, account plan, forecast, renewal, growth, and commercial outcomes for a defined book of enterprise technology clients.
- Lead consultative, persona-based conversations. Translate Context
66’s capability into the language of each buyer: margin and cloud economics for the CFO, platform reliability and velocity for the CTO/CIO, trusted semantics and governance for the CDO/CISO, release velocity and operational cycle-time for the COO and engineering leadership. - Run the land-and-expand motion. Open with a short readiness or cost-takeout diagnostic (the AI Readiness Assessment as the land offer), prove value fast, then grow the account into multi-workstream programs.
- Build and manage pipeline inside and around your accounts. Map whitespace across business units, multi-thread beyond your champion, drive outbound into named Technology targets, and convert inbound interest into qualified opportunities.
- Quarterback the deal and delivery team. Partner with solution architects and delivery leads to scope work, shape proposals and SOWs, respond to RFPs, and stay accountable through QBRs, escalations, margin, and client satisfaction.
- Sell outcomes, not features. Frame every opportunity around executive-grade KPIs — ROI, spend reduction, margin, time-to-insight, hallucination rate — and tie commercials to measurable value.
- Be the voice of the market. Feed buyer objections, competitive intel, and pricing signals back into GTM positioning, talk-tracks, and the partner ecosystem strategy.
- Represent Context
66 in the field — client dinners, executive briefings, partner sessions, and the dense Bay Area technology and AI community on your doorstep.
