Senior Generator Technician

A leading power systems provider is seeking an experienced Senior Generator Technician to join their Northern California team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with experience in industrial generators, including installation, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of units 500KW and above. • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on industrial generators of all sizes.
• Conduct start-ups, load bank testing, and electrical troubleshooting on-site and in the field.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful installations and service hand-offs.
• Document inspections and repair results; communicate findings and recommendations to customers.
• Train and mentor junior technicians; provide equipment training to end users as needed.
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation (every 5–6 weeks).
• Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance with all policies and procedures.

• 3–5 years of experience servicing industrial generators; hands‑on experience with 500KW+ units required.
• Strong knowledge of generator control systems, engine diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, service manuals, and safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally for factory training.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications preferred.
